Jonathan Bourne – Director

From 1999 to 2005, Jonathan was an assistant director at Gartland Whalley and Barker plc (GWB). GWB is a £150m turnover group with controlling investments in a diverse portfolio of business in the UK and US. From 1989 to 2005 it was run, essentially, as a private-equity business, building up groups of private businesses with a view to flotation or eventual trade sale. Before joining GWB, Jonathan was a corporate lawyer in Manchester. Jonathan is married with two children and lives in Manchester.

Phillip Bennett – Director

Phillip worked for GWB from 1994 to 2005, being UK Managing Director from 1999 to 2002 and Group Managing Director from 2002 to 2005. Before joining GWB, Phillip worked as a corporate lawyer in London and Leeds and also spent some time working in private equity. Phillip is married with two children and lives in Wakefield.
