Fountain Capital has acquired Wyse Leasing (North) Limited

Based in Wakefield, Wyse was established in 1996. It has since grown to become a market leader in equipment and technology finance and is now one of the country’s largest independent arrangers of lease finance.

Wyse can finance almost any asset with particular expertise in office furniture, information technology, telecommunications and audio-visual. Financing can also include intangible items such as training, maintenance, installation and consultancy. Where furniture and office interiors are being financed, partitioning and fit out costs can also be included.

Wyse works with:

  • Customers wishing to finance the acquisition of equipment and technology. These range from sole traders to large companies, schools and colleges to general practices and hospitals, local government departments to emergency services and charities. Even for an organisation that is cash-rich, leasing and finance options provide a wide range of business benefits. Financing matches cash flows to the useful life of the assets, fixes payments, spreads the VAT payments over the term of the lease, saves tax, maintains existing lines of credit and working capital and allows the business to invest the cash saved elsewhere.

  • Vendors of equipment and technology (manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and resellers). Wyse has developed and maintains many successful relationships with vendors who benefit through being able to offer financing options to their customers. A financing option can overcome objections to large capital expenditure and enables the vendor to increase order values. It can also protect the vendor’s customer base, allows profit margins to increase and enhances the vendor’s cash flow. Wyse works with a large number of vendors ranging in size from sole traders to multi-national companies. All vendors have access to a web-based quotation system, free training for their sales teams and personal support from their account manager. Large vendors often work in partnership with Wyse, integrating Wyse into their sales process.

  • Over 20 banks and finance houses who provide the funding for transactions ranging in size from many millions down to as little as £1,000. Most of these relationships are longstanding and Wyse prides itself on the high acceptance rates that it achieves for its customers particularly for the more complex financing requirements. It achieves this through the close working relationships it has established with its financing partners.
